Groundbreaking and Another Award

Recently Mom took me to a groundbreaking at her church. I asked her how someone can break ground. She said that sometimes when humans build a new building they have a show where they shovel dirt before they start building. I told her that was silly and that Rocky and I can go dig a hole there if she wanted us to. She said no. So we went to the show at the place where the new building will be.

Here is are pictures of me sitting on the bench.....

This is a picture of Mom's church. They are building a Parish Center right across from it.....

While we were waiting for the groundbreaking, I met lots of Mom's friends and her priests Father Nagel, Father Steve, and Father Gary.

Here is Father Nagel and friends actually groundbreaking........

I think it would have been a lot faster if I had dug the hole.

Today I also received another award from my new friends at Country Corgi's.

It's called Top Ten Blogs That Make Me Smile.

Here are the rules:

1. The winner may put the logo on their blog

2.Put a link to the person who sent you the award

3.Nominate 10 blogs

4. Leave a message for your nominees for: Top Ten Blogs that Makes Me Smile

This leaves my with a bit of a problem. I have to break the rules. There are way more than 10 of my friend's blogs that make me smile so I leave this award to all those who feel that my blog makes them smile. If my blog makes you smile please feel free to post this award to your blog.

P.S. Mom said she's sorry for the poor quality pictures. They were from her cell phone.

Hi Diego
Humans continue to amaze us - all those people standing with spades to do their groundbreaking when you could have dug a hole in minutes!
Well we just couldn't believe it. You looked very handsome sitting on the bench - probably just as well to put your paws up and let them get on with it!!!
love and kisses

Diego, tell your mom that your hole would have been faster, deeper, better and more beautiful. (Also, I think I look a little like your brother, Rocky).

Hi, Diego...

Humans do some really strange things...

Digging holes should be left up to the experts - Us...
