Afghan Hound Club Specialty

As some of you know, my Mom and Dad used to show Afghan Hounds. Well, even though they don't do that anymore they are still involved with the local Afghan Hound Club. They put on two shows last weekend. Mom was the official show photographer, so here for your enjoyment are a few of her photos. Hope you like them!!

Hi Diego,

Those doggies are beautiful. But the thought of taking care of all that hair makes mom glad she has Rat Terriers.

Hi Diego, those hounds are so elegant ar'n't they? I wouldn't like to see what state they'd get into when it's wet and muddy around here, Papillons are bad enough.

Those dogs and mom's pictures are pretty. I bet they could wear their hair in a pony tail

Very beautiful dogs, Mom loves to watch them walk. But she says she wouldn't want to have to brush their long coats.

So breathtakingly beautiful. I can't take my eyes on them inside the ring or being groomed at shows.

Mom says it used to take 3 hours to bathe and groom her afghans for a show.

Our Momma loves Afghans! And thinks the last pic is her favorite. She's always heard that their grooming is very time consuming.

Gorgerous dogs!

When we were at our local Greyhound Race Track recently - they had a Afghan Hound race which was amazing to watch!

Take care

Mom noticed the picture of the Afghan on the sidebar at Clive's blog and we just had to come and see the pictures! Of course our #1 dog to watch at the dog show is the Airedale but #2 is the gorgeous Afghan! Mom loves to watch them float around the ring! They are just magnificent!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Diego, I challenge you for the OOPS I ATE IT award:"When accepting this award, you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans were not watching. If you have never stolen any food, you must have been a really good pup! You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward! Next add the logo of this award to your blog (optional), then nominate at least 5 other furry blogs and let them know by leaving a message on their blogs."
